# Latest matches

A much-requested widget is the Latest Matches Widget. This is precisely what you think it is. This widget shows the latest five matches of the team you selected. What is the form of your favourite team? You can deliver exactly that with this widget. You can even show the events and goal scorers in every five latest matches.

### Configuration options

The [configuration options ](/v3/football-widgets/our-widgets/team-widgets/configurations.md)of the latest widget are the same as those mentioned for the team squad widget.

### Basic versus advanced

You can utilise the Match Centre functionality in this widget when you've opted for the advanced features. All information about the Match Centre functionalities can be found in the [Match Centre section](/v3/football-widgets/our-widgets/livescore-widgets/match-centre.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.sportmonks.com/v3/football-widgets/our-widgets/team-widgets/latest-matches.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
